LisaWe are excited to announce that Lisa Duncombe will be hosting the event!

Lisa was catapulted into the media spotlight in September 2002 after writing a letter to Classic FM’s station boss complaining that they weren’t doing enough to support young talent. They responded by handing Lisa her very own show every Friday and Saturday night, making her their youngest ever presenter, and face of the station – aged just 21.

As Late Night Lisa on Classic FM, she became the voice of a generation, introducing the nation to a feast of young, fresh and exciting new talent from the classical world.

Lisa has had an extraordinary career to date, writing a regular column in Muso magazine alongside her broadcasting at Classic FM. One of Lisa’s greatest highlights came when she received her first Sony Radio Academy Award nomination for “The Weekly Music Show of the Year”, a great accolade as she was the only female presenter in the shortlist!

A few years on and Lisa became a nightly feature at Classic FM with an after hours slot, and an additional Saturday night programme, looking at the composers of the future. She has given speeches on life in the music industry and more recently invited as a judge and presenter on the Classical Brits ITV1.

Lisa is also a talented compere,  she has co-hosted the Schools Proms at the Royal Albert Hall, an evening with the LSO at the Barbican, Woburn Live Classical and Jazz Festival, and the Music Manifesto’s festival style conference State of Play at the Roundhouse. Last year Lisa graced the small screen, talking to Alan Titchmarsh on his very successful ITV1 show, discussing the potential successor to the sorely missed Luciano Pavarotti.

Lisa is passionate about music and the arts, graduating from one of the country’s leading conservatories, Trinity College of Music.
